Unless old, well decayed manure is used, numerous troublesome weeds are very likely to appear. All this is overcome by using- a reltable commercial fertilizer, and success is assured. CrRRIK-S COMPLETE FERTILIZER should be used on «lie lawn as a top dressing in the spring just as the grasses are starting into growth. It will be found of great benefit in producing a nice healthy growth of turf. It is much easier to use tlian a top dressing of stable manure, which besides is very unsightly. Applied two or three times during the season, at the rate of one pound to every 100 square feet, will give the most results. In the garden it has been found to be most valuable. After spading in a liberal amount of stable manure apply 15 pounds per 1,000 square feet, raking it in well. Later a teaspoonful stirred into the soil around each plant two or three times during the season, will give the most astonishing results. Truck gardeners who wish to grow maximum crops should try this valuable acquisition, in order to get their vege- tables into the market early when prices are at their command. CURRIE^ lARDEN^LAWl.
