Unions, associations and platforms of health workers in the Community of Madrid have called a new strike day on February 2. They assure that the objective is to defend the professional categories of Primary Care (AP). and they have started with a demonstration in the center of Madrid this February 1st. The negotiations between the Ministry of Health and the unions, associations and platforms of health workers of the Community of Madrid continue without reaching an agreement. For this reason, all the professional categories that work in health centers, as well as those that work in hospital emergencies, are called for an hourly strike on February 2. Along these lines, strikes have been called again by these unions, including MATS (Movimiento Asambleario de trabajadores de la Sanidad) and CGT, the Association of Specialist Physicians (AFEM) and the Madrid Nursing Association (AME). In addition, it has the support of SUMMAT (Summa 112 Workers' Assembly), CSIF, the SAR Platform (Rural Care Service) and the Madrid Health Center Platform. On February 2, there will be a day of partial strikes of all the professional categories of Madrid Primary Care to, according to them, "stop the dismantling" of this level of care in the region. Regarding the requests they make, there is an increase in the budget in this sector to reach 25% of the total allocated to health, as recommended by the World Health Organization (WHO); the negotiation of a ratio of patients per health professional to guarantee a minimum of ten minutes per patient; the reinforcement of the non-healthcare staff and the coverage of 100% of the current staff of health centers. Another of their demands is the reopening of all the Primary Care Emergency Services with complete and sufficient teams of professionals, the recovery of the Rural Care Services to the situation of October 2022, the establishment of incentives in places that are difficult to cover both for health and non-health personnel, the reduction to 4
