For this reason it is not recommended for cultivation in the more northerly districts. In general appearance and growing char- acteristics it is similar to the well- known Stone type. It is especially recommended to the canning trade of Maryland, Delaware, Virginia, Indiana, Kentucky, and Arkansas. In shape it is a trifle too flat to be especially valuable as a shipping Tomato.
