Commercial Reefnet salmon fishing boats off Lummi Island, Washington, in the Pacific Northwest.

Off Lummi Island, Washington, fisherman called reefnetters watch in tall stands with polarized sunglasses for salmon swimming through their "gear". When the fish are spotted the net is hauled up and the salmon are hauled into the boat. This historic method of commercial salmon fishing is only practiced in the San Juan Islands and was originally used by native Americans of the northwest.
