While crop conditions, coupled with an unprecedented demand, have made it impossible for several days to fill all our orders (indeed, few have been filled in full), we do not expect the shortage to be of much longer duration. We do not want anyone to stop ordering in the belief that flowers are not to be had in Chicago. WE STILL HAVE A VERY LARGE SUPPLY, and it will be still larger soon. Bulbous stock is here and will soon be plentiful—it will relieve the demand for other things. Already Violets and Orchids are more abundant and lower in price; Carnation cuts, too, are increasing. A few warm, bright days will relieve the situation.
