A few days were spent in perfecting its ceremonialorganization, and on the first day of the second month acensus of the people was taken, and the princes of the tribesselected. Preparations were then made for covered wagons, each drawn by two oxen, werepresented by the princes on behalf of the tribes, and,from the uses to which these were put, we gain a viewof the relative sizes of the tabernacle parts, and of theportability of the whole construction.
