Sharing honors with these men in the pro-duction of the first issue of The Staks andStripes were four soldier printers dispatchedto Paris from the Twenty-ninth Division aweek before the first issue appeared. Theywere Sergeant Richard S. Claiborne, the oldestman on the staff of the paper who saw servicedating from the Cuban campaign. PrivateSigurd U. Bergh, Private Herman J. Miller,and Private Frank J.
