In 1793 Parliamentvoted him the sum of £2,500, he having previouslyreceived £500, as a reward for his marine time devoted the greater part of his life to the improve-Thomas Mudge. ^^^^ ^^ the marine chronometer, and his work in thisline was celebrated for finish and correct proportion of details.
