Contin is a small village in Easter Ross, within the Scottish Highland Council Area, Contin lies on the Black Water, 4 miles ( km) southwest of Strathpeffer. It developed in the 20th Century in association with tourism and the creation of the nearby Torr Achilty hydro electric power station. SCO 2386
