David Livingstone headed north from Victoria Falls November 1853. He met various peoples, including these who greeted him thusly

After African traveler, missionary, and explorer David Livingstone left Victoria Falls, he headed north to Lekone on November 20, 1853. This illustration, dating to 1914, shows Livingstone riding on an ox, being greeted by people on the way. Instead of bowing as others he had met had, the natives of this region threw themselves on their backs on the ground and rolled from side to side, all the while slapping the outsides of their thighs and saying "Kina bomba! Kina bomba!"
