The Boeing 777 300 ER is a long range version of the 777 300 which is had a a metres m or 33ft 3in stretch and has a strengthened undercarriage compared to the 777 200 . The engines of the 777 300ER are more powerful General Electric GE90 115B engines . It also has raked wingtips , strengthened body and wings , new main landing gear , strenghtened nose gear and provision for extra fuel tanks among others . The range carrying 365 passengers is increased up to 13427 kilometres km 7250 nautical miles nm . The first flight of the 777 300ER was made on February 24 2003 . The range with a 365 passenger three class configuration is 7880 nautical miles nm 14594 kilometres km . This aircraft competes with the Airbus A340 600HGW and maybe soon the Airbus A350XWB aircraft .
