The Montbretias are one of the brightest of our summer- flowering bulbs, and deserve to be planted extensively. The bulbs should be set out during April or May, 3 to 6 inches apart in clumps of a dozen or more. They should be protected during the winter with a heavy covering of leaves or litter. Aurantiaca.
