Liverpool, England 11th May April 2023 A train operated by TransPennine Express stabled at Liverpool Lime St Station. The train is decorated to celebrate the Eurovision song contest that was held in Liverpool at the time. It was the day that TPE received notification that their franchise would not be extended and control of their franchise would revert to the Government. The class 397 unit were built by CAF in Beasain, Spain for lease to TPE. Twelve five car units were built to operated on services between Liverpool Line St/Manchester Airport & Edinburgh Waverley/Glasgow Central. ©Ged Noona
