A Kubasaki High School Junior Reserve Officer Training Corps cadet models the uniform worn by the female Marines who fought in the Korean War during a Marine Corps birthday uniform pageant Nov. 8 aboard Camp Foster, Okinawa, Japan. Marines were charged with helping halt the spread of communism throughout the world. Battles in places like Pusan, Inchon and the Chosin Reservoir have become some of the shining moments in the Marine Corps rich history.
