Lourdes (south-eastern France) on 2014/10/27: the fortified castle overhanging the city, a historic castle strategically placed at the entrance to the seven valleys of the Lavedan. Built in the XIth century, the castle was modified several times during the following centuries. Converted into a fortress, it was refurbished in 1685 by Vauban and again in the XIXth century. Since 1921, it's been housing the Pyrenean museum dedicated to the ethnography of the Pyrenees mountain range in the XIXth and XXth centuries, as well as its tourist expansion
