Medullary breast cancer, light micrograph. This is a rare type of breast cancer that originates in the cells of the milk ducts. The tumour usually has a clear well defined border. Although it is a fast-growing tumour, it rarely spreads outside the breast and with early detection, the prognosis is good. Magnification: x250 when printed at 10 centimetres wide. Human tissue.
