Distant shoreline with Blue mountains of the DRC can be seen across the far side of lake. East Africa meets West Africa. This part of Uganda is on border with Congo or DRC. Democratic Republic of Congo, which is on other side of Lake Albert. Oil deposits have been found on the Ugandan side of the lake. Villagers trading and working with the oil company should benefit the village and community.
