This fluke is comparatively common in Japanand eastern Asia and has been reported in infests the gall-ducts and has been found bothin the pancreatic duct and intestine. Little isknown of the intermediate hosts. Many other types of these distomata are metwith in the liver of various animals and are occa-sionally found in man. Among these we find thedistomum lanceolatum, distomum heterophyes,distomum conjunctum, and amphistomum hominis(gastrodiscus hominis.).
