Sgt. J. McGarrigle at Camp Holabird, MD, operates a new type of crane designed for moving lumber during World War I. The photograph shows the crane with a heavy load of lumber swinging over to a pile. The image was taken on December 7, 1918, and was passed by the Military Intelligence Division censor on December 13, 1918.
