[Through the following sketch we arehappy to make our readers acquainted witha small but plucky band of German Chris-tians known as The German CongregationalLuther Church, of Brooklyn. Most ofthe members are foreign born, and havebeen trained from childhood in the Luthe-ran Church. It is much to the credit ofthat church that many who may be said tohave been born in its communion, come ul-timately to yearn for a deeper and morespiritual faith than its forms supply. It isthus that these brethren have come to asso-ciate themselves under a new name. With-out the slightest solicitation from anysource they have elected to be Congrega-tionalists, and have subscribed without hes-itation to our Council creed. Beginningin a small tenement, soon out-grown, theyhave obtained the title to a larger housefor which they have paid in part, and whichfurnishes in it
