The Swiss Federal Parliament, and at the far end of Federal square (Bundesplatz) is the Headquarters of the Swiss National Bank (SNB) in Bern, Switzerland. Beneath Federal Square, (Bundesplatz) gold is believed to be stored in huge vaults to the north of the federal Parliament building. The Swiss National Bank ( SNB) treats the location of the gold reserves as a secret. Independent confirmation of the gold's location was obtained by the Bernese newspaper Der Bund in 2008. .
