SOCfAL FUNtTIONS IXCREASE DEMAND. Numerous weddings and debutante affairs have brought activity to the market the past week, there being a fairly good demand, particularly tor the stock. There is. however, such an increase in the supply that an over- stock is apparent all the time. There has been no frost as yet, so that all outside flowers, such as dahlias and cosmos, are seen on every hand in great quantities. Chrysanthemums are now getting to be a factor, there being qua, ntities offered, rather more than the market demands. Chrysolora, Co- moleta and Unaka were varieties added the past week. Cattleyas are freely offered and will soon be on the depart- ment store counter, being offered at low prices in quantity. There appears to be sufficient valley for all demands. A'iolets are getting better but do not as yet keep until the next day. NOTES. This is a live, progressive asso- ciation and will make itself felt, par- ticularly in the lin
