Isocitrate dehydrogenase kinase. Molecular model of isocitrate dehydrogenase kinase phosphatase (AceK) complexed with its substrate isocitrate dehydrogenase (ICDH). AceK acts to activate and inactivate ICDH. ICDH catalyses the third step in the citric acid (or Krebs) cycle, the process by which mitochondria convert glucose to energy.
