Buffalo Head adorns a Tongkonan house in Toraja with buffalo horns stacked high on a pole at the entrance to this traditional and unique dwelling

The Toraja culture has many customs and traditions such as this which sets them aside from other Indigenous Cultures of the World. The Buffalo head is a sign of wealth along with the buffalo horns as these are sacrificed during traditional ceremonies and the more horns usually means the more buffalo which have been sacrificed hence the owner must be a wealthy person.
