Berryman heaters, Austin separators, Hoppes purifiersand Laidlaw-Dunn-Gordon pumps make up the re-mainder of the power house equipment. The furnaces are fitted with two sheet iron stacks 100 ft. high by 5 ft. diameter; these are set on the boiler wallsand held in position by two sets of guys. The storagecistern holds 3,000 bbls. and is supplied from two wells 70ft. deep reaching into the river gravel. Near the power house is the car barn 152 x 96 ft., with awing 69 x 41 ft. Tt is also of brick with a gravel ENGINES There is room for twelve cars and the repair departmentis also under this roof. Five fire plugs connected with a fire pump in the powerhouse are located in and around the buildings. Two No. 0000 trolley wires are used. These are hungfrom brackets on 7 in., 35 ft. cedar poles, except in thetowns of Mt. Healthy and College Hill, where iron poleswere demanded by the residents. Three cables of 300,000
