His ideas were correct, becauseMr. Campbell has had and is still having great successattend him in the conduct of same. In 1881 he married Miss Annie Richardson, daughterof Simpson Richardson, a well-to-do farmer and theSheriff of this county. To them were born five children—four boys and one girl. The experience of Mr. Camp-bell in his business affairs proves that every rule has itsexceptions. To quote A rolling stone gathers no mossis surely a mistake in this instance. Mr. Campbell notonly has the satisfaction of knowing that he is a successas a business man, but he also has the satisfaction ofknowing that he has a host of friends, who are glad ofhis Mr. A. M. He is the son of Edward Durbin, oneof the countys well known farmers. Mr. A. M. Durbinreceived a common school education, and followed theexanipU of his father in the choice of occupation, re-niaiuiiii; upon the farm until 1S92, when he moved toOld Landing and established a store. He has been afavored son of fortune.
