Three Celtic crosses, Galilee Chapel, St Illtud's Church, Llantwit Major, Vale of Glamorgan, South Wales. Taken July 2024. Summer

The Samson Cross / Illtud Cross (left) – circa 10th century and dedicated to Saint Illtud. The Houelt Cross (centre) - circa mid-late 9th century and is an excellent example of a Celtic 'wheel cross’. The Samson Pillar (right) – circa late 9th century and discovered by Iolo Morgannwg, and was probably originally a Celtic wheel cross but the top is missing.
