Kuhlman Car Company has delivered within ashort time twelve double-truck cars of the Brill grooveless-post semi-convertible type to the Hamburg Railway Com-pany, of Buffalo, N. Y., and six of the same type and di-mensions to the Dunkirk & I^redonia Railway EXTERIOR OF CAR FOR HAMBURG RAILWAY These cars are practically of the same dimensions as astandard 28-ft. car of this type with the exception that theyare 3 ins. wider and the .platforms are 10 ins. longer. Theseats are 36 ins. long, leaving the aisle 25 ins. wide; thelongitudinal corner seats accommodate four passengerseach. The transverse seats are of the push-over back typewith corner grab handles. The seating capacity of each caris 40 persons. A substantial bottom framing is composedof 4-in. X 7^-in. yellow pine side sills plated on the insidewith 13-in. X %-in. plates. The interiors are finished incherry, stained to a mahogany color, and the ceilings are ofthree-ply birch veneer; the lights are placed singly alongthe center of the dome and at eSch side under the lowerventilator rails. Four-bar bronze window guards extendfrom corner post to corner post and are an essential ad-junct to this type of car in consequence of the unusually lowwindow sills. The trucks a
