Heis also a Director of the Columbian Cordage Com-pany, and of the Auburn Business Mens Association,Trustee of the Auburn Savings Bank, Auburn CityHospital, and Seymour Library. He was appointedLecturer on Business Management at Cornell in i S99,and delivered two lectures before the students on 2o8 UNIVERSITIES AND THEIR SONS Modern Music. Politically he is a Democrat withindependent proclivities. He attended as a Dele-gate both the Chicago and Indianapolis DemocraticConventions of 1896, served in the same capacity. THOMAS M. OSBORNE at the Monetary Conventions held in the last namedcity in 1897 and 1898, and in the latter year wasthe Citizens Union or Independent candidate forLieutenant-Governor of New York. He is a mem-ber of the University, City, Harvard and ReformClubs, New York City; the University Club, Chi-cago, the National Civic Club, Brooklyn, New York,and the Auburn City Club. On October 27, 1886,Mr. Osborne married Agnes Devens, of Cambridge,Massachusetts, who died March 26, 1896, leavingfour children: David Munson, Charles Devens,Arthur Lithgow and Robert Klipfel Osborne. has travelled extensively, having madeextensive journeys in Europe and this country aswell as a trip around the world in 1877-1878.
