Splendid ornamental plants, bearing large clusters of bright blue and pure white flowers on long flower stalks, and lasting a long time in bloom. There is no finer plant than this for out- door decoration, planted in large pots or tubs on the lawn, terrace or piazza. It does well in the house or greenhouse in winter, requiring but slight protection. It is a rapid grower and gross feeder, and the chief point in its cultivation is to divide the plants before the pots or tubs become overcrowded with roots. Strong clumps. Umbellatus. Neapolitanum An excellent variety for winter flowering, extensively forced by florists for cut flowers.
