DARDANELLES STRAIT (Oct. 10, 2014) – Ensign Michael Tomsic looks for contacts aboard the Arleigh Burke-class guided-missile destroyer USS Cole (DDG 67) while transiting the Dardanelles strait en route to the Black Sea. Cole, homeported in Norfolk, Va., is conducting naval operations with partners and allies in the 6th Fleet area of operation in order to advance security and stability in Europe.
