OCTOBER, 1908. • DAVID HENEY BROWN, By Fkank Smith, Esq. David Henry Beown died at his home in West Medford, Mass-achusetts, on Friday morning, February 21, 1908. He was theeon of Joseph and Elvira (Howard) Brown, and was born on theancestral farm at Raymond, New Hampshire, August 17, 1836, ina home where he was taught to cherish the best traditions of NewEngland life. • He was descended in the seventh generation from John Brown,who came from England with his wife Sarah, and who was one ofthe founders, in 1638, of Hampton, New Hampshire. He was alineal descendant also of the Rev. Stephen Bachelder, Thomas Web-ster,.Hon. Samuel Dalton, and other founders of Hampton ; Oilman of Exeter, Capt. John Locke, Capt. Daniel Ladd,and Joseph Blake. On his maternal side he was descended from Samuel Howard,one of the early settlers of Charlestown and Mai
