Belsize House, or Bellsize House, from an 1840s engraving, shortly before it was demolished.

Bellsize House was a high-class brothel in eighteenth-century London. It was a large manor-house with ornamental gardens. Today everything is gone except for a single mulberry tree. This woodcut was in an 1845 book, but the cut is from the 18th century (or rather, is reproduced from an 18th century hand-bill advertising the facilities).
