Frescoes dating from 1972 by Tuscan artist Luciano Bartoli (1948 - 1994) in the parish church at Issogne, Val d’Aosta, Italy, the Chiesa Parrocchiale di Santa Maria Assunta. Biblical scenes include an angel blowing a trumpet above the resurrection of the dead (centre). According to Corinthians in the New Testament of the Christian Bible: “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.”

The paintings are by Luciano Bartoli and date from 1972. The church was built in 1736 with a neoclassical facade. The bell tower of a previous church on the site became a corner tower of Issogne’s castle.
