Pretty dwarf annuals; may be sown at any time, and bloom in any situa- tion, grow well in pots and may be placed in a rockery. 285. Gilia Tricolor. Choice mixed, 5c. GLAUCroi. Very showy plants, with quite attractive flowers. Leaves "are silvery white, something like the old "Dusty ; Fine for edging, masses, vases, ribbon beds. Sow late in winter in the house. 287. Glaucium Corniculatum. 10c. GYPSOPHILA. Delicate free flower- little plants, covered with a profusion of little star shaped, white blossoms. \Vell adapted for hanging baskets and edgings, and valuable for bouquets. Handsome specimens dried. 335. Elegans. White and pink. HOLLTHOCK. The Hollyhock in its present state of perfection is very unlike its parent of olden time; it now ranks with the Dahlia, Aster, Camellia, etc. For background to a flower garden, perhaps no plant is so useful. The flowers are as double as a rose, of many shades of color, from detp yellow, red, purple, to pure white. Plant the seed in June or July, in open ground, and in the autumn, when the plants have made five leaves, transplant to permanent position, three feet apart. The f
