How must the coils be constructed for two phasewindings? Ans. They must be made of two different shapes, one bentup out of the way of the other, as in fig. 1,534. There are numerous kinds of two phase windings; the coils may beconcentrated or distributed, half coil or whole coil, etc. Fig. 1,530 showsa two phase winding with four slots per pole, and fig. 1,533 one withsix slots per pole.
