GREAT LAKES, Il. (Apr. 29, 2021) Fire Controlman 3rd Class Jeffrey Tan and his grandfather, Frank Wong, accept the Congressional Gold Medal on behalf of Tan’s great-grandfather, Jin Wong, for his service in the Army during World War II . This presentation is part of the Chinese-American World War II Veteran Project, a national campaign to identify, honor, and recognize the accomplishments of all Chinese-Americans who served in the armed forces during World War II.
