Bails of hay or straw are, more and more, of the large roll type, covered in polythene. A barn dance, recently had trouble in getting squared bails as they are rare in Britain. This French farmer is obviously using traditional methods and older machinery to produce his cubes which will now dry in the hot Vendee sun until taken under cover.
