A woman is seen crying during the gathering to mourn the Mayor of Gdansk, Pawel Adamowicz and to oppose hate and violence at the Main Square. Pawel Adamowicz, the mayor of the Polish city of Gdansk died after being stabbed several times on stage during the Great Orchestra of Christmas Charity, Poland’s most important charity on Sunday evening. The alleged assailant, a man from Gdansk with a record of violent crime, was released from prison last month. The assailant told the crowd he blames Adamowicz’s former political party Civic Platform for his jailing in 2014.
