Chris says the nearest one known is 150 miles south and some have been discovered in Buckingam palace gardens. Fellow enthusiast Bill Meek came to have a look and agrteed they were indeed Cephalanthra damasonium. The County recorder has been informed and so now this is on record as the most northerly record of this species, here no doubt due to climate change.
