This is the memorial plaque for the crew of the lifeboat disaster of 1899 at the church of St Peter;St Paul located just off the Promenade of the Suffolk Heritage Coast of Aldeburgh famed for its medieval buildings and as the Town That Time Forgot. The church is also famous as being the final resting place of the composer Benjamin Britten who is buried in the churchyard cemetery.
