Should be gathered in season, and ripened in the house. Tree of fi-ee but not vigorous gi'owth ; shoots reddish-brown. Hardy, and bears well. Fruit below medium ; pretty uniformly turbin- ate ; dull yellow, slightly russeted. Flesh yellowish-white, buttery, melting. Flavor rich, sweet, and aromatic.
