Aquamanile in the Form of a Ram, ca. 1250–1350, Made in Scarborough, England, British, Earthenware, green glaze, Overall: 9 7/16 x 11 1/2 x 5 1/4 in. ( x x cm), Ceramics, Aquamanilia—the word comes from the Latin words for water (aqua) and hand (manus)—were used for washing the hands.
