Gisors Castle, Gisors, Normandy, France. Gisors is the capital of the Normandie-Vexin region. Gisors Castle is a 12th century fortress, whose donjon was built by King Henry II of England. It is surrounded by moss-covered walls, and a ditch that has been filled in, that is now used by locals who play boules. King Philippe Auguste added the Tour du Prisonnier, which became a prison in the 16th century.
