A Palestinian man confront the Israeli army and Jewish Israeli settlers near the Tayasir military checkpoint on the east of Tubas in the northeastern West Bank. After the Israeli army abandoned an army base near the Tayasir checkpoint, Palestinians were trying to retake their land despite Israeli settlers preventing them from doing so under the eyes of Israeli soldiers. Since 1967 Israeli authorities have been confiscating Palestinian land in the West Bank to establish Israeli military bases and Israeli settlements
