Navy Boatswain’s Mate 3rd Class Andrew Flesdickerman, from Lovelock, Nevada, signals to an MH-60R Sea Hawk helicopter, assigned to Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 71, during flight quarters aboard the guided-missile destroyer USS Stockdale (DDG 106) in the Gulf of Oman, Dec. 26, 2018. The Stockdale is deployed to the 5th Fleet area of operations in support of naval operations to ensure maritime stability and security in the Central Region, connecting the Mediterranean and the Pacific through the western Indian Ocean and three strategic choke points.
