A Spanish musketeer's sword, circa 1600. A double-edged blade of flattened hexagonal section. Double fullers on both sides of the upper third of the blade. The grooves with perforations and a barely legible inscription on the blade between them. The ricasso is stamped on both sides with the crowned mark "ST". A multi-bar knucklebow hilt, and the bar finials have heart-shaped perforations. The grip cover has good replacement wire winding. Hollow worked pommel with a heart-shaped perforation.
