This image may not be used to state or imply ESA endorsement of any company or product Idunn Mons volcano, Venus. This volcanic peak is located in the Imdr Regio area of Venus. This image combines topographic data, radar data, and thermal imaging data. The topography and radar data are from NASA's Magellan spacecraft, which orbited Venus from 1990 to 1994. The heat data is from the Visible and InfraRed Thermal Imaging Spectrometer (VIRTIS), aboard the European Space Agency's Venus Express orbiter. This shows hot lava flows at the summit, some kilometres above the surrounding plain. This thermal imaging data was collected in 2006 and 2007.
