Dolmen of Pedra Gentil in Vallgorguina in the region of Valles Oriental province of Barcelona,Catalonia,Spain

The Pedra Gentil dolmen, one of the largest in Catalonia, is a megalithic construction made up of seven vertically nailed slabs with a covering stone on top. In 1855 it was restored by Josep Pradell. Tradition has it that it was the meeting place for the witches of the coast. Vallgorguina is a pre-coastal municipality in the Vallès Oriental, which borders the Maresme, northeast of Barcelona. It extends through the Catalan Coastal depression on the west side of Montnegre and to the east of the Sierra de les Mules. El Corredor (638 meters) is the highest point and includes the valley of the Vallgorguina stream, with streams such as Collsacreu or Font del Sija, tributaries of the River Tordera. Part of the municipal area is included in the Montnegre-Corredor Natural Park.
