The fibrinous clots inthe cardiac cavities extended into the pulmonary artery in cases 197, 362, 369 and 372;into both pulmonary artery and aorta in case 373. In case 841 there were large clots inthe right side of the heart extending into the pulmonary vessels; a small clot in the leftventricle; but the nature of these clots is not exjtlieilly stated. Abdominal organs.—The liver is spoken of as congested in some half dozen cases, inas many more it is said to have been soft or softened; it is also spoken of in a few cases asanajmic or as pale. It is said to have been fatty in cases 161, 197, 226, 242, 302, 309,344, 358, 382 and 750; and from the description given was probably also fatty in cases338 and 340. In case 94 the liver was a good example of the so-called
